Vedanta – A Philosophy of Life and Living
The younger generation needs to be equipped with a strong intellect. The study of Vedanta through selected English poems will help serve this cause. The higher values contained in this literature will help our youth to develop clearer thinking. These higher values along with clearer thinking will give children a direction in life. Resulting in the overall growth as a human being.
Session 1: The Mountain and the Squirrel
Youth have to be educated on the value of co-operative endeavour. This comes from an understanding of how the world works. The Mountain and the Squirrel gives one a different perspective of how to view the world.
Session 2: The Turkey and the Ant
The Turkey and the And provides an invaluable message to humanity. A message to be learnt and practised in life. The poem narrates the need to be aware of one’s own faults instead of pointing out the flaws in others. This value is the first and last step of the journey towards self-development
