The Founder

Swami Parthasarathy, popularly known as Swamiji, is a pre-eminent philosopher. He is widely acclaimed as the greatest living exponent of Vedanta, the ancient philosophy of life and living.

In a life of selfless service over six decades, Swamiji’s exceptional contribution has been the translation of subtle philosophical themes into practical techniques of living. An exercise that has brought about mental solace and material prosperity in the society.

Swamiji’s stature and achievement has been profiled in four books:

Swamiji has multiple degrees in literature, science and law, and completed a post graduation in international law from London University. Renouncing a lucrative corporate career early in life he has dedicated his life to study, research and propagation of Vedanta. His writings, discourses and seminars have met with exceptional success and featured in international press and television media. While business, sport and film celebrities regularly seek his counsel.

Author

Swamiji has earned the unique distinction of presenting the timeless philosophy of life in contemporary thought and language through his writings and discourses. His bestselling book, The Eternities: Vedanta Treatise is in its fourteenth edition and has been extolled as the ‘Book of the Planet’. This seminal work serves as the life manual for all humanity regardless of race or religion. It contains the knowledge required for self development. His latest book, The Fall of the Human Intellect explains the crucial role of the intellect in successful living. Swamiji also authored five acclaimed commentaries on selected ancient Vedantic texts and practices. In addition, Swamiji has authored another work titled Select English Poems. It is a compilation of philosophical masterpieces from English literature.

Academic

Swamiji has been travelling all over the world tirelessly over the past six decades to impart the knowledge of Vedanta and its practical application to life around the world. His discourses have been a revelation, profoundly impacting the lives of his audiences.

In 1988 Swamiji founded the Vedanta Academy in India, which serves as a world resource for Vedanta knowledge through its continual residential courses. The Academy offers complete facilities for the study and research of Vedanta in both short and long term courses. The Corporate Wing of the Academy is a new, modern centre designed to offer residential retreats for management personnel and professionals.

Corporate Guru

Swamiji’s pioneering lifetime research has formulated Self-management corporate programs. This has found acceptance among premier management forums, business schools and corporations worldwide. Swamiji continues to be a distinguished international resource of the Young Entrepreneurs’ Organisation, Young Presidents’ Organisation, and World Presidents’ Organisation. Swamiji has also addressed leading institutions such as the World Economic Forum, The World Bank, Brookhaven National Laboratories, NASA, Harvard Business School and recently the Kellogg School of Management.

Recognizing both the original nature and practical value of this research, the Government of India has accorded his institution the coveted status of a Scientific and Research Organisation.
